I recently received a sizable lot of games from a seller who apparently had a penchant for game shows and board games. I find that entering game show licenses into the database always poses a challenge as there tend to be many titles with the same name but for different video gaming generations. See Wheel of Fortune licensees and Jeopardy licensees. Indeed, this batch of games appears to contain 2 distinct versions of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

- Wheel of Fortune: 2nd Edition
- Jeopardy!
- Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? (Buena Vista version)
- Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? (Lightdog/General Mills release)
- You Don’t Know Jack Movies
Aha! So I’m not the only person interested in collecting CD-ROMs from breakfast cereal boxes. Check out all of the General Mills discs in this collection:

Thanks for the comments, Peter, and I’ll be watching your auctions. Sorry for the delay in posting; I have to moderate the comments to keep the noise out.
El Condor says:
If it helps, the General Mills/Lightdog release was the original, Jellyvision produced game (the US first edition, just with extra bonus advertising on the disc ;) ).
Multimedia Mike says:
Cool trivia, El Condor. Thanks. I can imagine there was a mad craze to cash in on that particular game show phenomenon (I remember when it was everywhere).
El Condor says:
I believe that Disney essentially got Jellyvision to rush produce something based heavily off the YDKJ engine at the time (5th Dementia I think). Certainly they would’ve been th got to guys for something like that at that time.
In the UK, Eidos made an entirely different version, rather than just change the audio. Some weird licensing went on I think.
